After much thought and because of the hurricane, we feel that it would be best to postone the Swap untill Sunday October the 2nd.
We feel that it would be too dangerous for some people to get here. We hope this will not inconvenience any of you and that you will be able to come the following Sunday.
Please let us know either way, whether you will attend or not.
Please pray for our friends who live near the coast, especially Trois and Maggiemoo, that the Lord will protect them during this dangerous storm.
Your friends,
Mitch and Josephine.
DALLAS PLANT SWAP POSTPONED UNTILL SUNDAY OCT. 2nd
Thanks Frostweed for posting this - love to have a few more come and join us - the more the better! Mitch
And yes our prayers are with all of you in the Rita pathway - God be with you.
Mary, did your home and garden sustain any damage from Rita?
It is a good thing that you didn't leave, you probably would have had more stress on the road than sitting out the storm, but who knew?
I guess we have many reasons to be thankful.
We did not get a drop of rain here in Arlington and the temperature is 99, so the same old story, but we really shouldn't complain.
Josephine.
Yeah, we really shouldn't complain, but it didn't stop me from weeping a bit over a few of my plants on the Native Plants thread. You're right, no way could I have made the trip today - no guarantee I could find gas. I'm looking forward to Oct and cooler temps for the meet.
Bump....
What time?
I think it's the same time and place listed on the original thread (11am.)
That is right, and won't it be nice with the cooler weather?
