This is such a kick.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Last year I ran out of tags to mark my crosses so I used 4 colors of ribbons, each depicted a different brug. Then I went all over merrily pollinating. Of course I promptly forgot which was which. This brug is X Gold ribbon. It is turning pink.

Today it bloomed for the first time and I immediately knew what brug Gold Ribbon was. Can anyone else tell?

First one to get it will get a pack of very pink seeds.

Oh goodness, those are long tendrils. I'm not good at guessing games though. Butterfly has made some crosses with long tendrils. Whiskers has more 'curled up tendrils', but the gold ribbon made me wonder in that direction. That one you were singing Tom Jones "She's a Lady" had the long tendrils and was pink, but I don't remember you mentioning the bloodlines. Hmmmmm. I give up. LOL Where are all the experts? Guess they'll turn up in the morning. I'll have to check in the morning when the rest of the world is awake.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

Wow!!! I can't believe the size of the tendrils! I don't know much about Brugs to even venture a guess. I wish I did because my drool bucket is overflowing. Congratulations to whomever wins the seeds.

hmmm perhaps Golden Lady X RK?? geesh those tendrils are gorgeous!
or should that be RK x Golden Lady?

It's a beauty, can't wait to see the color it gets tomorrow!

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I am with Laurrie, GL X RK. (So if we are right she wins the seeds, lol.)

Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

My guess is gold ribbon equals RK.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Wow, Kell, I don't know the names and looks on most but those whiskers are awesome looking! Look forward to seeing more pics.

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

I think I was going down the wrong trail when I was thinking the color of the ribbon was a hint. Things like Golden lady came to mind with the ribbon color but I don't think it's ever produced anything but yellow, cream or white. Rothkirch is Mom or Dad (doesn't that sound strange?)to so many pinks. Oh this is fun. Now, would someone call Holmes and Watson and end this mystery. LOL

Edited for lousy spelling.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Delisa already guessed my guess!

Mary, I think that Kell just used whatever color ribbons that she had handy, but wouldn't be surprised if the gold ribbon was 'the top of the heap', and she drooled over RK a LOT last year!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

S O O O O O O O pretty.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Has it turned pink yet, Kel? Mine has the most beautiful dark green, crinkled leaves. No buds yet, tho'.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

It had started, a light pink but it is cool here. She is not recurving yet at all wither. I would love it if it kept that look. I bet she is a good pink with those parents.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It's very pretty Kell.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I almost didn't plant these seeds, when I read Gold Rib, thought the bloom was pink with a gold rib in center. Went back later and thought I'd just give them a try and see what I got. Sure glad I did plant them, as the leaves look like something really dark, maybe red even??

Thanks everyone, I'm happy. Never before won a thing in my life, unless you want to call "winning" Ed my DH.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I have been calling her She is a Lady! LOL

Well she's all you'd ever want
She's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take to dinner
Well she always knows her place
She's got style, she's got grace, she's a winner.

She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, she's a Lady
Talkin' about that little Lady, and the Lady is mine.

Well she's never in the way
Something always nice to say, Oh what a blessing.
I can leave her on her own
Knowing she's okay alone, and there's no messing.

She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, she's a Lady
Talkin' about that little Lady, and the Lady is mine.

Well she never asks for very much and I don't refuse her
Always treat her with respect, I never would abuse her.
What she's got is hard to find, and I don't want to lose her.
Help me build a mansion from my little pile of clay. Hey, hey, hey

Well she knows what I'm about,
She can take what I dish out, and that's not easy.
Well she knows me through and through,
She knows just what to do, and how to please me.

She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, she's a Lady
Talkin' about that little Lady, and the Lady is mine.

Yeah yeah yeah, She's a Lady
Listen to me baby, She's a Lady
Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady
And the Lady is mine

Yeah yeah yeah, She's a Lady
Talkin' about this little Lady
Whoa whoa whoa whoa
And the Lady is mine

Yeah yeah, She's a Lady
And the Lady is mine.
