Sauce for Bread pudding?

I need a sauce to go over bread pudding. My Mom and I are baking for a fall festival this weekend, this will be our 5th year, and we want to make bread pudding. We're thinking of a vanilla or maple sauce of some kind. We can keep it warm in a crock pot to pour over the bread pudding as it's served. I have some local maple syrup I can use in the recipe if needed. Anyone have a recipe like this?
