Agave 'Mediopicta Alba' (Agave americana)
Cactus_lover,
Your image of Agave 'Mediopicta Alba' has serrated leafs. I didn't see this in the other images. Is this a variety of 'Mediopicta?' How large is this plant and how large does it grow in ground? Beautiful plant!!
MistClimber
MistClimber,
Thanks. The Leaves are 10in long and 2in wide.and now it is 3 to 4 years old in pot.May be it is too large if i put it in ground.
Yes it is variety of 'Mediopicta.
Yasir
Palmbob,
How large is yours. I did take a better look at the other images of the Agave 'Mediopicta Alba' and they all do have serrated leaves. My error.
I just ordered a plant (two Mediopicta Alba) the other day and wanted to plant it at my gate entrance. I am hoping they will get large. I want it to make a statement.
My Agave vilmoriniana at the gate doesn't look like they will make it. I really love its form. To bad. I didn't realize it was a tropical agave and the desert (8b) climate is just too hard on it. They are yellow and just drooping.
Sorry it took awhile for me to respond, but I have been planting and ordering plants. My husband and I own over 300 acres here and I have a full time job doing landscape work on our grounds and coming up with ways to discourage rabbits and the javelina from munching on the plants in and around our ranch.
As my plants mature I will post images of them.
Cactus_lover...you live in Pakistan? I always thought Pakistan was sort of a desert environment. 9a zone is something like Mexico? Northern? Mexico can be tropical to subtropical especially in the mountainous regions. Is this similar to where you live in Pakistan?

MistClimber,
Yes there are deserts in Pakistan and hilly areas, there are many cacti and Succulents are grow, but unfortunatly no one can try to find them.I like to do this job,and do that nearly.
Thanks
Yasir
Agave americana Mediopicta is not a huge species. You might consider the variegated yellow form- that gets enormous! Or a nearly white A fransozinii (some consider a form of A americana)- gets huge, too. Lots of huge species, but I don't know all their cold tolerances off the top of my head. You want a show stopper, though, you should get a pair of Furcraeas (macdougalliis would be nice)- get huge and even grow a trunk.
