Had a couple of pods that were just starting to yellow and go mushy get knocked off of the monster brug. Trials and tribulations of being in the front yard. Will the seeds still be vible? One of them is too green I know but I am not sure about the other.
When is a pod too Green
If the penducle starts to yellow and pod starts to soften they should be good.
If the other pod that was knocked off is hard and green I wouldn't wast my time on it.

Thanks!
Last year I got immature seeds that were only 2 months old and white to germinate. But you need to pot them up right away. Did the seeds start to change color? If the seeds were brown at all, I bet you can get some germination.
To be ripe the pods do not have to be all mushy, just the start is good enough. As soon as mine split I try to pick them.
Sunday Tom trimmed one of my brugs because he couldn't get by it anymore and cut off all my pods. They were hard and green and 3/4s the size should have been. They were almost 2 months old. I had some special ones on it so I quick potted up about 100 seeds in rockwool. The seeds were pretty white but large. I bet I get some germination.
Here are some of the seeds I did not use but only because I had no way too many. They are turning brown now because they have been exposed for over a day now to air.
GOOD LUCK, Janice.
