I'm pretty sure that the plants in the Amorphophallus family would beat it hands down tho.

......or am I really off base and it has a scent that would blend in harmoniously with your Hoyas?

Hmmm well I wouldn't say it is really that bad (not like Pseudolithos eylensis which made one regret to stick the nose close). This one kinda has a sweet compost smell which gave a slight sting in the nose, you know like if you get a wiff of ground horseradish only it was not as strong. Then again maybe the sting was a small fly that I sucked in while smelling the flower :)
