Flutterby

Mississauga, ON(Zone 6a)

While walking in the garden I caught a flutter in the corner of my eye. Happened to have my cammie with me so quickly got ready to catch his image.

I got it OK and he was very, very good about not flying away.

Brenda, these are Sumac leaves all by their lonesome at the end of a branch on a shrub that is getting old and near it's last day. This is the only colour on the leavles, so they really stood out.

I see patches of colour in many places and feel that we're in for an early Autumn in this part of the country.

Pam, does that mean you like it? lol

Beautiful picture Joan. Although I prefer to think that the early colour in our neck of the woods is due more to trees under stress because of the drought this year. Our maples have been dropping leaves almost all summer. LOL I absolutely HATE winter, so it can't be getting that close yet! I like to tell people, "I was born in July. Spring, summer and fall are the only civilized seasons!" --Ginny

Ginny, I think you may have worser winters than us. lol. I don't mind the cold or the snow - it's the icy walking conditions that I don't like.

Don't want to fall down and go boom.
