hello all
i have roughly 9 trades to send out. please help me track down my friends that i owe plants to!
in may of this year i ran my mustang into a culvert in denham srpings, la. i had two compression fractures in my lower lumbar region, broke my clavicle, and my nose. this is not an excuse, but it has been a trying past few months.
i am healing, (have healed, really) and am piecing my life back together. i'm now working again, and i would like to once be active on this website. all my plants died, but i am starting to build my collection again, and i have lots of seeds. i want to send monetary reimbursment to all my friends who were kind enough to trade with me,that i didn't get to send, in form of check or moneyorder.
i know how kind you guys are, but i really don't want to hear of anyone saying 'don't worry about it'
please let me set this straight. this has been on my mind heavily the past few weeks. i love the plantfiles and everything that goes along with dave's. thanks so much.
edited to say i've read all the threads concerning my incomplete trades and i just want to say again that i am sorry for any inconvienence that this has caused. i see some poeple have written me off as a shiester. i probably would have done the same.
i am withdrawing for trading in the future because of this, and i plan to be active in the plantfiles, and i will be more than happy to send anything i will have in the future for SASE, to any member.

I'm so glad to see your post! You don't owe me anything, but folks were worried when you went MIA. Here's a thread Kathy_ann posted a while back.... http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/513715/ You can see she's more concerned about you than about the plants, but I'm sure she'd appreciate resolving the trade.
Things happen and even though we have never had a trade, I don't think you'd come back openly if you weren't a decent person. You have to put your priorities in order and recovering and healing are a priority I will be happy to trade with you anytime.

I think most everyone was just plain concerned about you, though I wasn't involved at all.... but this is a perfect example of why we, as human beings, can (should) never prejudge a person or a situation.... I hope the best for you in your total recovering..... gardening and all.

You will see from my posts that I was worried about you as well, and certainly not looking to get anything back for the plant I sent you. I'm glad that you've recovered, and sorry to hear about all that you went through. I hope you and your son are well, and I look forward to seeing you on the boards again.
When you add to the PlantFiles I feel amply reimbursed anyway.

I'm so glad your ok, You don't owe me a trade. And I know there was no way for you to let us all know about our trades.
You just get your self better and rejoin all of us here on Daves. PLease don't stop trading. that's one of the best parts on being here on Daves.
It is so great to see you back here again. And I am so glad your ok, getting back onto your feet and healing. I hope your son is ok.

my son's fine, and i'm fine, i think i suffered more mentally than anything. getting over it though. i have cosmetic surgery on my nose scheduled next week so wish me luck. :) it's really not a big deal, just moving foward, or 'backing up and punting' as my grandfather would say. :)
as far as katrina goes, it's been like a madhouse over here. so surreal. i work in N.O., i've been there for the past two weeks. i have some pictures that yall might want to see on my computer at work, when i get there on tuesday i'll post them. they are not pretty though.
Yes, It was bad, We went down to Pearl River to pick up my step son and his friend, It was horrid, Never have I seen it so bad before. His subdivision ws completely flooded about 8 to l0 feet. The north shore mall was 20 feet under water. Can you imagine. the whole area, slidell, lacombe, will hve to be completely rebuilt like N. O. will be.
yes everyone is focusing on NO but truthfully, there were areas that were hit just as hard if not harder. the smaller parishes tend to fade in the background, though. not enough looting for our media i guess.
We didn't have a trade going but I wanted to jump in and tell you that it is good to see ya back again. I am glad things are starting to get better for you. Prayers being said for you for strength and an inner healing for all you have gone through.

I joined around the time that you had your accident and I remember how worried everyone was when you weren't here. I'm sorry about your plants, but the important thing is that you are ok. Good luck with your surgery.

Ok I really like this thread, and no I didnt have a trade with you either but if you notice, neither does anyone else whos posted. Take care and if you can post those pics that would be a sight to see Im sure.
