I am learning to sprout brug seeds and this way was alot faster for me than using soiless mixture or rockwool...I did not presoak or peeled the seeds...I use Orchid moss soaked in piggy poop tea...They are in full sun for about 3 hours and then shade for the rest of the day...The cross is Butterfly x Creamsickle in this picture...
Great idea about the orchid moss.....but no piggy poop around here to use....will try the moss the next time Im honored with some brug seeds..thanks for the info..Judy

thought piggy poop be little strong.. rabbitt poop then.. both work guess.. got good ones started there..

I used her poop from last year's..It is all dry in a tub and all I have to do is add water to make the tea...No it isn't strong at all cuz she is eats unsweeten horsefeed and fresh veggies..no leftovers or meat by products..lol
Hi moodene. Well done. I am very new to germinating Brug seeds and I was wondering if the seeds were fresh and how long did they take to germinate? Kim.
The seeds are from last year's batch that I was given to.....took them about 2 weeks to pop up for me..I am still having summer weather here..lol...
Kim seeds are good for at least a couple years if stored well.
I've had some sprout in less than 2 week and longer than 3 months.
Also have given up on some and dumped the container just to later on find seedings growing in the compost .....lol

Thanks for the information. I have only tried to sprout 2 seeds just recently and as yet I have had no success. I will have some more valuable seeds shortly to sprout so I am after as much information as I can find. I will keep on searching the Brug forum for sprouting information,
