My 6 hibiscus plants have these itty bitty white flying things all over the backs of the leaves. Are these white flies? How do I get rid of them?
White Flies?
I would try Neem Oil and a few drops of ivory dish soap, mixed with water, put in a spray bottle and give them a good dose. Make sure you get all leaves front and back, and the stem. Now this is just what I would do. There should be other members with better information coming in here soon.

When I only had a few plants, I used soap solutions. But now I just buy Ortho Systemic plant insecticide (acephate) or Bayer's Advanced Garden Insect killer (imidocloprid). They are systemic and last for 30 days. The acephate is terrible-smelling but kills spider mites in addition to the other basic pests of white fly, scale, aphids, chewing bugs and worms, mealy bugs, etc. The imidocloprid does not kill spider mites, and in fact, seems to encourage them. I spray every 30 days as a preventive measure, not waiting until I have a big lot of bug damage. DO NOT USE ON VEGETABLES!
Good luck!
