Naien, I have made committments to 4 people for tubers. When I dig, if there is enough I would like to add you to my list of trades for the following plants. Do not send me anything until I verfity I have enough for everyone.

Seeds from Mirabilis Red Glow and Morning Glory Heavenly Blue

I have the Black Magic dug up and all I can say is WOW. I've never seen so many babies in such a short amount of time.

I am growing this in a sandy manure medium. It gets quite a bit of water from the container plants that sit beside it.

Size of the bulbs range from dime circumference to fist sized. I'm not sure how I'm going to send these, since this is my first attempt.

Should I wrap in a damp paper towel or ship in a dry medium?

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I would say dry.. with the heat the paper towel could start rot - but that is just me.... anyone done this before?

Lamar, AR(Zone 7a)

I just pulled this from the Organic gardening website:

Simply remove it from your pond, and keep it in a dry, dark and frost-free spot, either in soil, or vermiculite

http://forums.organicgardening.com/thread.jspa?messageID=97439

Even though I grown mine in soil, Ill just cut off the foliage and ship in newspaper.

If someone objects to this please let me know asap, I'd like to get these in the mail tommorrow! :) :)

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

Sounds great to me.
