Skunk breath?

My german shepherd got into an altercation with a skunk. She spotted the skunk when I was getting her out of the car at night after a trip to the vet. I ran after her and tried to grab the end of her leash to pull her away. Managed to get her in the house. I rubbed a skunk removal liquid all over her coa today. She smells better, but her breath still smells like skunk! Will this wear off? She is drinking gallons of water. Doris
