Bought Bergenia and am wondering,

Aurora, TX(Zone 8a)

anyone have luck w/these in TX? From what I've read, they like everything from moisture to xeriscape conditions? So confused. ;-) Got them from the free plants site, and thought I'd give it a whirl. Think they're more likely common in the north, since I've never seen them here!

Any tips anyone?

I think that I grew them many years ago. I would plant them in a light shade, morning sun and afternoon shade or shady location and give them plenty of water.
