Echinacea for clay soil

morehead, KY(Zone 6a)

Hello! Again
I haven't been on long, but have already traded! Here goes again. I am looking for any type of Echinacea. I have the common type ,but would love to have more of it and any other types there may be. I hear they start well from seed. I am also looking for cat mint/nip? seed. It also is hardy here and takes clay soils.
Thanks again
George

I'm hoping to get some AV leaves in the mail to you next week. I made a note in my trade tracker to include catnip (which will indeed reseed itself all over your clay yard if you don't deadhead it, LOL) and echinacea seeds (I have light purple, collected last year, and I think I have some pink & purple mixed seeds from a trade). Would you like Black-Eyed Susan seeds as well?

I have some magnus echinacea just harvested and dried. Got anything to trade? I am particularly looking for some Monarda seed heads but can be tempted by most anything! How about some sort of Native plant KY seeds?

I have a "White Swan" Echinacea. I am sure there are some seed heads on there I can send you! So far it's my favorite coneflower.

Be glad to send you some - would it bother you if I sent the whole heads and didn't clean them? Those things hurt!!!

If so my addy is in the exchange - send me a stamp and I'll get them on their way! $.60 stamp would be plenty! I have plenty of bubble envelopes. Don't forget to tell me what you want though or you are liable to get crabgrass! I have a wonderful patch of it! LOL!!

I have some catnip all ready to send out, I would love to trade for almost anything, but SASE will do if you are just starting out (just like me:)

d-mail me if you are interested

Actually I want the whole seed heads because the seeds are microscopic in size and are located at the base of the seed head...I'll be happy to do the cleaning...let me know. Dmail me as I may forget to look back at this thread.

Hi goodwilly! I received your SASE! I hadn't been to the mailbox at all last week so I just got it yesterday. I am going to collect your seeds tonight!
