Ok folks...let's hear 'em! We got this new arbor swing...and I got the bright idea to tear out the sod and make paths and a garden in our front yard. There will be a new picket fence all around it..(I hope!)...getting bids now. My DH and BIL are tearing out the sod. Then we will install a gravel path..extending one already in place behind the existing picket fence...which will come out. I also plan to have small gravel areas extend into the beds to be able to reach the plantings.
This is on the north side of the house. Some sun..some shade. I have hostas there now..and shrubs and two trees...a crabapple...and a japanese maple. There are also some roses near the driveway where it is more sunny.
