Scooter she is gorgeous, I love the white ones. I have so many orange or whatever color they are. I do have 1 white one my Frosted Velvet. Then I have the Versicolor Peach which is pretty. I can't wait for a pink to open, if I have a pink that is.

Yes Scooter your Hawaiian Double White is something to be proud of.

That's a beautiful white!!! I was sent a log of it recently. Wow! I have something to look forward to.

Does the lower skirt always drop? I have a Creamsickle that had mangled flowers June and July. I'm wondering if other doubles have the same problem in hot weather.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Deformed buds will occur once in a while but not often on HDW.

Maybe just the first bloom every year?

Deformed flowers is the problem with breeding for doubles sad to say.

I am tossing my white double 'b.Species' just for tha reason.

on a happier note ....... M m m m MAYA - First day blooms

Good ol girl gets planted in the same planting hole every year
(grrrrr , can't believe I forgot to remove that marker-stake , lol)

Your Maya is to die for!!!!!! I'm a nut for anything variegated so I bought Maya for its foliage without realizing that it had pink flowers. Wow!!! I sure hope to get mine to look like yours someday. Mine's a foot high right now with all kinds of grasshopper holes.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

betty, Maya blooms are peachy colored. They open greenish yellow , aging to white then turning to peach.

I'm so happy to see your getting some beautiful blooms after your Rough summer! They are looking fantastic! Maya sure is a beauty.
I love the triple shot. Sure does show all the shades of Maya.
I'm anxiously awaiting another flush of blooms on my Maya. Also others are putting out now. Ive had limbs break from being heavy and the little bit of rain we have had.
Thanks for sharing

HAve overlooked some threads over the last 10 days with gardening chores galore - just found yours. What a MAya! A reward for a long wait!
And the dbl blossom is precious.
P.S. Your Cupid's Blush cutting has been so healthy all summer - no special care at all, and you saw the beautiful flush pictures. Hope it overwinters where it is in my garden.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

I hope you are saving a cutting .
