We've just returned from a trip to the west coast. The occasion was the wedding of my niece on Labour Day which was held in the hills south of Hood River, Oregon. Had a nice view of Mt. Hood, but unfortunately, the top was obscured by clouds. My grandtwins, Amy and Nolan (at almost 3 1/2), were flower girl and ring bearer, and Amy, especially was some excited. Here they are about to do their walk.
Sorry, forgot to add the pic and can't figure out how to do it once I've previewed the post. Will post it next.

West Coast trip
DH has an uncle in Grass Valley and three cousins in Rough and Ready (which seceeded from the union in 1850). After a visit with them (and decompression for the grand-twins) we headed to San Francisco where we took the kids to the Zoo. They may have looked at the animals. I enjoyed the foliage - many plants which one wouldn't find around Ottawa - at least not outside. Here is one succulant type.
Oh what lovely pictures Ann! The radiant bride and the twins are adorable.....the little girl reminds of my DD when she was that age. Thank you for sharing the special day, family pics and scenery with us! Ü
The unknown ? amaryllis is a Kaffir Lily or Clivia 'miniata'.
Yes, thank you for showing us into your world. How blessed you are to have those adorable grandkids. So that's a Clivia.....
Great pictures Ann. Your grandkids are so cute.
Sandy
I love the colour theme your neice used for her wedding, and those twins are just too adorable. Thanks for sharing Ann! --Ginny
Amy and Nolan are just too cute and that poison oak pic is a hoot! The pic of Mount Shasta brings back mountain memories as I'm originally from the West. Great pics, Ann.
ginnylynn, The color scheme kept changing - lol
Finally, one bridesmade couldn't find a dress she liked and found a seemstress instead. they sent me matching fabric for Amy's jacket and bow..
Sanannie, wish I could have had Mt. Hood there too but while it was a pleasant day for the wedding, the clouds were just a bit too low to really see the mountain. We just had to imagine it was there. Had good looks at a couple those mountains while flying from Vancouver to Portland but no camera handy.
To all who compliment the twins, thanks. We are truly doubly blessed.
(a real surprise since there are no other twins in the family).

What a lovely wedding and those twins--fabulous! How great Amy looks in that colour. Obviously a most enjoyable time. The clivia and euphorbia are pretty spectacular, too. Thanks for sharing.
