on my passiflora vine there are these orange catapillers with black spikes eating my vine to death. they range from all sizes. what are they?? i will try to get a pic but are they bad godd or what??? thanks

They are Gulf Fritillary Butterfly catepillers. Check out the link below for photos of their life cycle. The passionflower (not the red ones, but native maypop and purple varieties I believe) is a host plant for the catepillers.

They will eat a lot of your vine but won't hurt it. The leaves will grow back. They make pretty butterflies.
