Toad wanted IN

Last night we were having some hard rains and gusts of winds. I went out to close the bird house outside door and when I was coming back inside I noticed something at the base of the front porch sliding glass door which was closed to keep the rain out. It was frantically pawing at it and obviously wanted in very badly. . It turned out to be a wart toad who apparently lives on our front porch. The door is usually open so it has no trouble getting in and out. One was already sitting under a lighted window waiting for a bug to come by. I helped the outside toad inside and it immediately went to an area it seemed very familiar with for sitting. It peeked out at me as if to say 'how dare you shut that door and leave me out in this kind of weather!'.
