College roommate helping Katrina animal victims.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

The message below if from my college roommate. She owns an exotic rescue/educatucational non-profit business. She takes animals around to day cares and schools, letting the children see animals they otherwise would not. She also tells them why most exotics do not make great pets. Think Fennic Fox... Hope I spelled that right.. She also rescues various animals and either keeps them at her 'house' (the animals take up most of it) or finds them good homes. If she finds a home for the critter she does follow up visits and makes them sign a contract.

Anyway, this is a REAL person and she is my friend. We've been close since the age of 19 - we're both 35 now. If you want feel you can help an individual that is a victim of Katrina, this is a good one.

Thanks for your consideration!! Nicole

Woman with breast cancer is on chemotherapy yet gives everything she has to help animals! On September 8th, the founder of Creature Teacher, Inc. located in Kernersville, NC (Tracy White) and a former board member (Anne Robinson) went to a small town outside of New Orleans to answer a call for help from a local kennel who has been inundated with animals from several animal shelters devastated by the storm. We were able to bring back 21 dogs and cats who have now been placed in foster care. There are still hundreds of animals being dropped at her location. We are now organizing an effort to help this woman, Kendra Williams, who lost everything. She is currently being bombarded with animals and has used all of her own personal money. She is scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy in 6 weeks. We feel it is important to provide relief for this animal lover who has nothing left but continues to give everything she can to help the animals of her small town. Right now, she is living in a tent outside the kennel and is undergoing chemotherapy. 100% of all donations collected through Creature Teacher, Inc. will go directly to Kendra Williams. Not to the animals although if we can help her, it will be indirectly helping literally hundreds of animals. We will be returning to Mandeville on October 10th to stay for 5 days and help keep Kendra and her kennel running. Hopefully, we can provide her with some relief. You can make your donations at www.CreatureTeacher.org. Right now, she has no use for household items. In the future, we will send out another update about tangible items she can use but for right now, please help financially in any way you can. There are a lot of news reports about hoax web sites being set up to draw fake donations out of people. Please be rest assured that your money will 100% be sent directly to Kendra. Creature Teacher, Inc. is a tax exempt organization so you will recieve a receipt for tax purposes from our organization. THANK YOU for your support.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO ANYONE IN YOUR OUTBOX THAT MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP KENDRA!!!
