Fabulous Lady Margaret

St. Paul, MN(Zone 4b)

Hello All.

Even here in Minnesota, this Passiflora blooms all year long, in the garden during the summer and in a south-facing window during the winter. Notice the ants enjoying the next bud in line...

Thank you all. Lady Margaret is just such a joy to grow. None of my other Passifloras bloom nearly as much, and the color is outstanding.

Calalily, I wish we lived in a climate like yours! Then I would let LM take over the side of my house too!

Eric, What a beautiful passion flower. It's a striking color.

Thank you vossner and kathyvm. I have the plant in a 10" pot, and when a half dozen flowers are open at the same time, it's almost breathtaking!

It's little joys like this that keep this hobby fun for me, despite all of the challenges.

Vossner, the plant is in the ground, came thru the Christmas freeze and didn't even quit flowering! It has spread over an area that is 16ft x 8 ft and up 8ft and is growing across the roof of my house. We've taken a machete to it twice and it needs cut back again. Every now and then it puts out under-ground runners that make little plants.
Erick, root a plant and put it in the ground next spring and watch it take off! I wonder how hardy this one really is?

Thank you for the great advice Calalily. I find LM cuttings rather easy to root, so I will root a few and plant them in the ground next spring. It will interesting to see how they do.
