Just today, I told you my Nancy's Revenge this year and in the past, got the nice white/yellow center but no neat marks. Look what just opened. hahahaha I just gave a pint of blood to the skeeters, standing on one foot and about fell in the pond to take a pic the second I saw it. LOL
Sue, I lied!!!
Ohhh, that is so cool! What a fun find. I cracked up picturing you perched taking that shot he he! Hey, and there's that handsome red hibiscus too!
I can just about picture you perched like that Chelle!
Wait till you see the picture I got of it sitting by MY pond..........
Ric and
Oh no you don't! LOL I got 1/4 of the circle of the plants next to the pond demolished today. It is sort of fun to undo all I have done, but sort of sad too.
Having been there several times during this demolition project I know what a chore it's been.
But as you say it has to be a rush planning the new homes for all these........
Ric and
I actually pulled about 200 pounds of floating plants out of the pond yesterday. Maddie saw the fish for the first time and the water is clear. LOL Good thing it hasn't been TOO hot because I flung the plants on the grass by the arbor. Ahem. Just now occured to me I could have put them in the yard waste. It's Wednesday. :) I guess I will toss them in the garden on the hill.
Remember the side yard?
Three beds GONE. I scaled them down and will fill them back up with stuff I am not taking.
This is the side yard this morning. LOL I ripped out three 25x4 beds and replaced them with a pot garden. :)
The plan right now is to get everything I want out of the back yard, re-do the deck then make any repairs to the lawn. Then we can stay out of the back yard and I can work my out out the front yard. Sounds good, hope it works.
You sure have been busy, Badseed. Are you moving?? Luv the pic of the EE that you said was a pic for Sue.
:) Donna
That is the Xanthosoma jeoquini lineatum (sp?). I remember the first time I grew them, I thought something was wrong with them. LOL
I have been trying for about 2 months to buy a small farm about an hour from me. It has a 4bd, 2bath house, huge garage and out buildings on 7.28 acres. I have been dealing with the bank from HE.., a disgruntled employee that quit mid way through, and now title issues! The whole story (ies) are hidden in the hem forum. :)
I'm thinking containers garden probably will send up fewer red flags than pot garden...........
I can't believe how different it looks just since we were over there.
I have my trusty net ready for the fish haul!!!!
Or deep fryer....your call.......though.....
if I have to break ice..........there will be a service charge! lol
We've got your Papyrus (tall and dwarf) ready but will winter it for you.
There's enough on your plate already.
We'll winter yours too if you'd like.
We already have an indoor pond,so it's no problem.
Ric and
I haven't figured out how and what to do with the fish yet. LOL
Oh, I think I can split my papyrus soon too.
I have not decided yet whether I will buy another GH, insulate and heat the GH I have or buy a monster hallide light. I'll be alright over wintering plants though. I have too many to not figure out something. I'll have a nice big crawl space too. :)
I am about to go track down Tuke again! I need more pots. LOL
Ohhh that jeoquini lineatum is neat!
Wow, lots of work done there! I am getting ready to dig up several beds and have a truckload of good planting/compost mix delivered and redesign and replant some of the beds and also have sprinklers installed for the front lawn, or whats left of it, and new sod layed. I'm tired just typing it!
Chele I can't believe how different it looks. You sure have been busy. Nancy looks great how do you over winter it? I always kill that one over the winter.
Badseed you're sure going to have alot of fun with that much space! You'll now have plenty of room for everyone to visit you. I definitely have to keep my eyes open when I go down south next year for the Xanthosoma jeoquini lineatum .
;) Donna
