WOW! After seeing all those fantastic photos in this forum, I'm posting this to see if anyone can help. I'm installing an inground pool and would love to see pics of pools with tropical looks. I'm in Zone 8a/b in FL Panhandle near Destin. Once it's done (in time for the Christmas season LOL!) and the plantings are in, I'll share some photos. Thanks so much!

Looking for photos of swimming pools with tropical look
WOW mgarr what a beautiful view of your pool. It is so relaxing to look at.
I know what you mean about forgetting about having to move your plants in for the winter. This summer I have gotten some tropicals and they have done good then I look at them and think what am I going to do come winter?
BDunn please do post pictures when you have your pool and planting all done. Because for people like me that live in the winter zones around Christmas it would give us hope of summer coming.

mgarr, your pool and surroundings are beautiful. I would love to see more pics of it.
We also have to bring our plants in for the winter here. We have many tropicals, but they aren't able to be 'by the pool' because it is in FULL sun. Here is a pic looking out to the pool. Certainly not as pleasing to the eye as mgarr's.
Brinda I don't see a darn thing wrong with your pool.

WOW! You guys are amazing. Everything is gorgeous......and so restful. I WANT IT! I WANT IT! (LOL). I can't believe you all don't live down here. Hope ya'll don't mind me "borrowing ideas".
mgarr, it's gorgeous. Those brugs look like they're in the ground. Are they or are they just really big pots?? What kind of banana is that? Just fabulous!
Brinda, I'm surprised at what you said about some plants not being able to be by the pool because of full sun. What do you mean? I'm re-e-e-a-a-lly full sun here and I plan on the plants that I'm using being almost next to the pool. Of course, the palms I'll use will be set back by the fence.
Linda, I'll be happy to share photos later. At the rate they're going, it may be Christmas before they're done! LOL. I'm told that's typical.......they get you very excited when they come to dig the hole (which is what I have) then they go away for days or weeks before they come back to do anything else! Oh, well. I wanted to do it this time of the year so that I can do fall planting to get a good root start.
You guys are great! Thanks,
Barbara
I would be so excited about having a pool installed, and once the hole is dug I would be even more excited. I don't know if I would be able to give them days and days without working on it. I would probably bug them to death until they told me to forget it, that they wouldn't be back to finished. I'm not really that impatience but I have always been one of those type of people when I want something I want it now. But like I said earlier at Christmas would be good, it will help out the blues that I get around then and the first of the year.
