I called my ISP support tonite as my puter (windows 98..firefox..dialup) has trouble getting a good connection & runs very slow. She had me delete all cookies & assured me it would cause no problem & I would not lose my passwords.. I hope she is right but so far I have had to put in 3 passwords but some were there still. I'm not sure I know all my passwords or codes I need. This was the 2nd level of support not the one who answered the phone. So far I have stayed connected but it is only 21,600bps which is as fast as I am getting it now. I have connected as low as 7,000bps. Anyone have any idea why I am running so slow? The ISP say it isn't them.. the phone co. say it isn't them. I have a new modem here & waiting for a friend to install that but I don't think that is the problem.. I used to connect about 48,000bps.. what happened?
