Charles Grimaldi?

Muskegon, MI(Zone 5a)

This unknown just bloomed yesterday....I thought it was CG but the leaves are more jagged and this is the second day of blooming and it seems to be a bigger bloom then CG without turning that darker gold....any thoughts?..my sunray hasnt opened yet so not sure if it could be that one...Judy

Im editing this since I just noticed the bloom starting to open on the left...if this would help ID it by looking at the characteristics of it starting to open....

Here's a pic of one of my CG's for comparison. My blooms tended to be about 12-13" long

Judy,
I bought this as CG. The flowers turned slightly more orangey later. The lflower as you can see is shorter than Emily's. The leaves are more serrated except for some of the smaller and new leaves. I asked in another thread about the difference between Dr. Seuss and CG and was told there is a controversy about leaf shape — that CG leaves are entire (smooth edge) and Dr. Seuss is serrated, but that might not be the case. I googled for information and it seems no one knows the difference for sure. Out of curiousity, I purchased a small cutting of CG from 2 reputable nurseries and both cuttings had both smooth and serrated leaves.

WOW Emily, that plant looks so pretty and so yellow. LOL

I live in Charles Grimaldi country here. CG seems to have some serrated juvenile leaves. But once it matures, they are smooth.
