Does anyone here have health insurance for your dog/cat? I just came back from the emergency clinic with Luke because he got something caught in his throat and was swallowing like it hurt. I thought maybe he had gotten a stick and was afraid it may rupture his esophagus...even my thoracic surgeon husband agreed. Luke had two xrays and an exam and they found nothing. The bill was $450.00! Better safe than sorry but boy he is only 3 months old and with his puppy shots etc plus his cost it is like WOW you are really an expensive little thing! Not that I am new the vet. bills but was just wondering if it would be worth getting health insurance. Lyla (my Mastiff) has heart worm pills and derramax for arthritis and because of her size the pills are about $200.00 a bottle for 90 pills.
