I don't think I could possibly start a thread today and not remember the people that have lost their lives on this day in history... and the victims of Hurricane Katrina.. It takes my breath away. May the Good Lord watch out over their families.

It is beautiful day here today. A warm sunny day with a slight breeze. I am spending quite a bit of time cutting brush. This farm was grown up in thorn trees and brush when we bought it... I am clearing around small walnuts trees and recently realized that I have some native pecan trees.. It has renewed my interest in clearing brush away ...... I may have a forester out to discuss grafting , etc... I have a thread about it in the fruits and nuts forum.

I am also loving the thread Misty Meadows has on her pigs...

Hubby and I went to look at 25 acres of pasture yesterday.. A woman he works with just needs it mowed and said we could have the hay if we baled it. .. She has recently gone through a bitter divorce and got 25 acres in the settlement. I don't think she really knows what to do with her property. She was really emotional when we walked around. I hope I can help her start to make a little profit off her property.. I am worried that someone could really take advantage of her..

Have a wonderful day.. Stop and smell the roses... Drink a glass of sweet tea under a shade tree or something.
