Kell, That's a beauty. I recently found this site. It has lots of pictures. Good luck. I've always liked hibiscus. Since I've goined this site, I have seen the most beautiful flowers. I'd like to know some of the places where you guys buy these. Only the common ones are available around here. I'd like to add a few of these beauties to my collection.

Hi Kell & all:
This is my first post. Now that I see a larger version, once joined to the group, of your picture I can confirm you that I have the same plant as you have.
Its name is Wedding Band, also called Seminole Pride. It's one of the varieties that Curt Sinclair, a known grower and hydridizer, sells on his website

Below - I hope it appears - you can see some of the different looks my plant has year around.

I have a lot of links to sites related to hibiscus. Once I put them in order I'send the list.

Warmest regards

Carlos from Belgium

Hi Kell & all:
Here you have a new set of pictures of blooms in the same plant, Wedding Band, during the early Summer (if Summer exists in Belgium). The blooms show a thicker egde, either yellow or white and an eye with more white.

WOW Carlos. I think you sure have it. You have great pictures. THANKS

Kyle's pic had white instead of yellow so I thought his might not be it, though sure is a beauty.

Any chance you know the name of one too?

Hi Kell & all:
Yeah, I know that variety a lot. It's the most beautifull that I have. Its name is Marilyn Quayle, hybridized by Curt Sinclair from a For Pete's Sake x Tammy Faye cross.
This is a link to a picture album I have with pics of MQ. The grey color of some pictures is due to the sun and how my digital camera manages it.
http://cfernandez6.photosite.com/MarilynQuayle/

and this is a link to an specific picture of MQ inside of another picture album I have on Internet. This one is a plant I lost last Winter. A few weeks ago I bought the one showed in the first link.

Being new in this forum I've seen that most of varieties that form part of the famous "co-ops" are varieties hybridize by, or sells (or sold) by Curt Sinclair.

It is very beautiful Carlos. Thank you. It seems you are a tropical hibiscus lover. Do they have many on Belgium?

The pics I have shown are not from hibiscus the coop. They are from nurseries here in Northern California. Ones from Regan's Nursery were not labeled. I bought tons this year, they are so beautiful. They have thrilled me all summer long. I hope I do not kill them over winter as I have done in the past.

Here is another shot of the one above. See on this one it has the extra flower tissue on the stamen spike. Did yours do that on occasion?
