One of my favorite skippers.. I love the irridescent color on the back.

Yes, gorgeous long-tailed skippers!!! I have several of those in my yard...had mistaken them for the rare 'urbanus evona' but they are the more common 'urbanus proteus' - very pretty anyway you look at them.

I've learned to look at the lowest check spot to see if it's pentagonal in shape.
