Paradise
This gorgeous hot red must it in well with your tropical theme Pam. Hey, don't say the f word. Don't want to think about it yet. Notice a butterfly bush in there too. Have you wintered one over yet?
Brenda
It truly is a beauty....it's really striped orange and red but the pic isn't capturing it. I'll see if I can get it when the second spike opens (barring the arrival of *-*-*-*-*. :Shhhhhhhhhh :O
Brenda I had one butterfly bush that I overwintered 3 years before eventually losing it. This year there are three new ones out there so I'll have to get busy with the overabundance of leaves we seem to collect every f-*-*-l. ;)
The previous one would die back to ground but still managed to put on a nice show.

Love the Canna. I also wondered whether you've wintered one. I find I have difficulty wintering the ones with the best blooms. The ones with spiky foliage multiply like mad. Got too many of them and think I will let some spend the winter in the ground this year - almost certain death.
Ann
There you are Pam. Have been wondering where you were.
Great Canna 'Spitfire'/

Ann I've wintered inside some of the plain Jane's but not one like this so am crossing fingers and toes that I can do it. :S
Thanks Joan.......been pretty busy lately and the night temps are giving us warning that we low zoners better get those tropicals in. Have set up two shelving units and one portable unit in front of the windows and am moving quickly to get the more tender ones in now.
So many new peeps joining I'll have a hard time catching up! ;)
