OMG that is absolutely wonderful! Do you have a favorite online seller for these? In Houston I can only find 2-3 varieties and I'm discovering there are a ton. would love to start a collection of these.

Thanks Ric,
I found this at one of the discount stores,in a 2 inch starter pot,for like a dollar or 2,just had a couple leaves, but knew I had to have it,about 4 or 5 years later about 3 ft or more now, very slow grower.

Nice looking plant and a nice job you've done w/ it.

I've never had much luck w/ them.
You may have something there.
Starting w/ them young they haven't been spoiled by GH conditions.

How do you handle them come Winter?

I have 3 of these here in Key West , I dont know what we would do without crotons for color down here in 11b. I have come across a few others with pale colors but this was the only pink. They just take care of themselves

I say I want to start a collection because the three common ones that I have seem to be very happy here. Maybe Richmond, TX is croton country! LOL

Even in the winter, Vossmer?

oh yeah Kell. our mild winters don't bother them at all. I should say that I just bought mine so I don't know first hand what winters are like, but people around here have them all over the place--there stand out because little else is as colorful at that time of year.

Hi Ric,
I keep them in garden room, west window, get sun from early afternoon until sundown, mist often, but keep soil little on the dry side, rots easly during the winter.
