Hey Clare just wanted to show you this cutting.

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

Remember I said I got this from a tree in california on a visit there. The pic is lousy but I cant believe it is blooming again. It is also getting lots of new leaves so I think it will make it. It is a nice yellow but don't have a clue which one it is. Tanarae

Yay! It looks like an awesome yellow! It might be Celadine or a seedling of Celadine. Very nice. How's the fragrance? I bet it is delicious-smelling. It will branch after it flowers. You did good!

Yes Clare it smells divine too. I like how the yellow kinda trails to a point out to the edge. Wish I had gotten a better pic but a photographer I am not. I feel lucky to be able to operate the digital. As I am a techno dummie! Tanarae

It will be fun to see how it flowers next year. I've noticed that, as my plants get bigger, the flowers get bigger too. Flowers on a just-rooted or rooting cuttings are usually smaller than they will be eventually, and sometimes they have just four petals. Congrats on a lovely flower. Since you will have two or more branches after it flowers, you may have two or more bloom heads next year:-)

actually Clare you cant see it in this photo but it has 3 branches now off of the main stem. The flowers on it now are only about 2 inches across. Do you think they will be larger next year too? Tanarae

I bet they will:-) They will probably get up to three inches or even three-and-a-half inches.

Thats great, Thanks for the info Clare.

Very pretty Tanarae1!
What does she smell like?

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

You know I had not even thought to give her a sniff. LOL So I had to run out and give it a try and man was I missing out. She smells beautiful! Very sweet. The fragrance seems very familiar but I just can't put my finger on it. Thanks for reminding me there was another reason I loved plumerias. LOL Tanarae

Scent is everything when describing plumies ;)

Can you tell I am a plumie newbie! LOL

We all were at one point.. no biggie ;)
So.... what does she smell like? :P

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

I still haven't figured that out but it is so familiar. It is very sweet but not sickly sweet. Very slightly spicy smelling. Wish I could put my finger on the familiarity. Tanarae
