My first real flush

Isabella is doing me proud again. She has so many blooming or about to bloom I just had to show her off

Thank you! I dragged the DH out so he could smell them tonight and found her flowers were very perky so I had to take some more pics.. This was the best one although as you can see the flower to the right is almost done.

Thank you guys.. I t looks like this year is going to go out with lots of blooms! I am a bit sad that they are really starting to take off and we only have about a month before frost.

Great job Laura. Very nice. Brugs always seem to put on their best show when it cools down and the days get shorter. They just want entice you to bring them in before the cold hits. They are not dumb.

I just love Isabella and yours is soooo pretty. She really does flush nicely for you.

Today I have so many blossoms.. I know that I have seen bigger flushes on here but seeing it in person..and when it's your own? well, it's just amazing!

A closer view.. if I don't get home too late I will try to get a photo of them tonight when they are "Lavish"

edited to say that they are a much darker pink now then when they started out. cooler weather?

Beautiful! The cooler weather definitely helps to bring about more blooms and if the flowers are going to get darker, if takes 2-3 days to notice a difference.

Don't ya just love it. My Isabella is planted right at the edge of the street. Last time it was in full bloom I almost got run over taking pictures. It's about 8 ft tall and was just covered in blooms. It's resting now but I hope I get one more flush before frost.

Such a wonderful treat you have there Laura. It sure does pay off getting a flush after the hard work you put into them all summer. Happy to hear your getting a Blast of fragrance to enjoy also.

I am loving it! I feels like they just putted along all summer and now they are going for broke! I hope that my rosamond's buds bloom before frost. That would be very cool

No, just 5 (I think) .. Poor Rosamond had such a rough start. If she blooms for me it will be all worth it!

I have a gazillion blooming right now but you know..I went and looked at the first evening pic I Posted and one really looks as if it has six points.. am reposting for your opinion.. it's the middle one

Yep definitely 6 points, I noticed yours are "evenly spaced" but mine has 4 "normal lines" inside where as the other 2 meet at the inside and "V" off toward end............strange

Here ya go, see the 2 "stripes" inside the bloom on the left say around 6 & 9 o'clock position? at the where the V meets at the bottom they are connected, whereas the other ones are NOT connected, oh this is soo hard to explain!~!!!

I see what you mean.. It would be easier if we knew the name for the stripes.. lol

LOL yeah anyway! anyone out there tell us if these are called "ribs" when we are talking about the inside too???? I think perhaps that would be the correct term?
