Here are some pretty flowers still blooming in the garden. my ginger plant,,
Wilma
still blooming
Couldn't help it, but when I saw the middle pic I said to myself "look Ma, twins!" lol. When we were kids, we had similar flowers in the backyard and I think we called them morning glories. Is that what they are?
Thanks for sharing pics of your pretty blooms.
Erynne
yes they are morning glories and yes they are TWINS, glad it brought back good memories.

Lovely pictures Wilma. I see you're in Manitoba - about how long before you get your first frost?
Summer flies by so quickly.

Nice pics! My morning glory is in full bloom just now - all ready for the first frost which could come any time now! And one of my clematis - a new one last year - decided to start blooming a month ago and is still going strong. Lots of fall stuff which the frost probably wont touch but some of my lilies are just in full bloom now!
I just got a digital camera today - hope to be able to post pics soon!

Very nice photos Wilma. Lovely clematis. Do you know which one?
The ginger is probably Roscoea purpurea from Gardenimport.com

Thanks
No I don't know which Clematis it is as it was from a saved garden,,
Which my good friend gave me,,,
They're all lovely Wilma. I'm not too familiar with gingers....that one looks really cool. I love the colour of your morning glories. If I was going to grow some I'd like that colour or the pale blue ones. That's a nice clematis....we have many different ones blooming at the moment too.

I just love morning glories, I have 4 differnet kinds growing in the yard,
and even if they want to grow in the veggie garden I just leave them, they just add some pretty colour among the tomatoes,,
And the clematis is very lovely don't matter which one it is as I am not a person who is into names,
If I like it it growes in my gardens..
fancyvan
can't wait till you start sending pictures, always nice to see what others grow,,
sure hope we don't get frost yet,, but we know it is just a matter of time. But that means a whole new gardening season mnext year,,
and different plants and seeds to try..
Have a great week-end everyone, I know I will.....

Wilma I had hoped to get some pics this weekend - got the digi camera Thurs and all set up and working on Friday - and it has been raining here since Thursday evening! Hort. Society plant share this morning - prob not much going on there but I have 2 trays of plants to take! And it is supposed to continue raining all weekend -I think the dogs are even less thrilled than I am about going for a walk!

Very pretty morning glories, Wilma! Nice rich colour. Mine are going like gangbusters too - hopefully we'll have a few more weeks left before first frost. Nights have been cool lately, but the daytime high forecast is for 31 degrees Monday and Tuesday (!).

Love both of your indoor gardens,
Now tell me you painted those flowers on the wall freehand,
You just might have to come her and paint some on my wall in my screen room..
thanks for sharing
Wilma
Wow! Very nice artwork. I especially love seeing those bleeding hearts and columbines, after the real ones have long since finished blooming.

You'll never be able to move, Fancyvan. A wonderful catalogue/garden all year long. What room(s) is/are they in. Just lovely. I've seen lots of stencils like ivy etc around walls/doorsetc but have never seen anything as pretty as your painted walls. It must have taken you ages.
Most I've ever done was a huge rainbow for a kiddo, using tons of masking tape, one colour at a time.
Quite lovely.
Inanda aka Ginnyl (ginny11 is in Ont).
Thanks folks!
The indoor garden is my back porch/sun room and yes it is stencilled - I cannot free hand paint or design! The perennials circle the room which is about 6 x 16. There is a wisteria vine on a trellis around 3 sides about 10 feetup. The room is not finished yet! This is an ongoing project over the past 8 years or so.
Well I could move which is unlikely but I cannot repaint thats for sure! Same issue in my kitchen and stairwell to 2nd floor and my bedroom - all stencilled .If I repaint I have to restencil! Oh well something to do in the winter!
Lovely ginger Wilma! Ü Does Gardenimport still carry it? Are they still in business?
Beautiful sunporch and plants Fancyvan. Welcome to Dave's and the Canadian Gardening/Chatting (and sometimes Trading forum)! Ü
