Anybody need a few water lilies?

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

I need to desperately thin my water lilies. The only one I have is a 'strawn' (yellow). I would be happy to send for postage. I will cut back most all the pads because they are heavy. I will put several in one box. Can do flat rate box or smaller box. I hate to throw them in the compost. Tanarae

Forgot to mention that these are hardy lilies and medium to large size pads. Thanks

No I am working and will not get home in time today as they close at 4pm. So tomorrow I will have my husband go and pick it up for me since he is off work. I really hate to have to wait. I am excited about getting it so much. Tanarae

Hello Tanarae,
I'm interested in what you can send, if any are left. This year my lily didn't grow as much so I battled green water more because of the lack of shade. If you decide to send any, let me know how much postage to send you. My zip is 46733. Thanks,
Gemila

Any links to this 'strawn'? I've heard of a hybridizer by that name, is this one of his progeny?

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

The original plant came from lilypons and I think they have it listed on thier site.

Hello Jackieshar, I would be happy to just make a trade if you like. My addy is in the daves book or do you need me to send it? Just dmail me with your addy and I will get you a nice box out on monday morning. Thanks Tanarae. Are the datura hardy in your zone? I am in the same zone.

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

Closed, I don't have any more available unless Jackieshar doesn't want to trade. Thanks Tanarae

I do want to trade..have lots ready of the seed for the white datura metel.........the seed for the yellow or purple are not quite ripe yet.....another couple of weeks will do it......darura dont overwinter as such........I cut them down in early winter and sometimes they come back from the plant.......otherwise......they come up from seed really easy.....some of my whites were just dropped on the ground.........this year is my first with the yellows and purples...I dont know that they won't do the same..I thought to start some in seed trays in late winter just to make sure

I have to echo the above! Thanks a MILLION!!!!!!!!!!!

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

You guys are all too sweet! Thanks and I hope you all enjoy them and this time next year you will be trying to get rid of a batch of them your self, Teeheehee. Enjoy! Tanarae

Just a note to let you know that they are very prolific! They reproduce like crazy. I divide 2 times a year and generally have 34-40 plants to share. Most are nice sized plants as well.

You're tops in my book, GF!! (Well, you and Nancy.....). There were PLENTY for me to share with DD and roommates. Haven't seen them in their pond yet, but I'm going by there today so I can't wait to see how they look!! Mine just made themselves right at home!!
Gail

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh good Gail, glad yours are comfy and you had enough to share. Tell Nancy hello from me and I hope she is feeling better. Hope DD's are doing well too. Tanarae
