My daughter's thoughts on Katrina

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Let me preface this by saying that I sincerely hope that noone is offended, but our daughter, Lauri, wrote this poem today and just emailed it to me. She is the daughter that wrote the poem for her father for Father's Day.

Thank you, Twyla. Lauri is grown and has a 15 yr. old son. She is a micro-biologist and never seemed poetically inclined until just recently.

so very inspired Sylvia!!

Birth pains is definitely the word for it. Wasn't it said that the rocks and the earth will cry out for the coming???

Definitely a time for personal evaluation.

Thanks everyone. We have been so blessed with our children. God truly blessed our family with 5 wonderful children. I give thanks everyday for all the blessings he has bestowed on us. I too feel that it is time that people opened their eyes to just what is going on in the world and why.
