Free Brug Plants in Wpg,

Winnipeg,, MB(Zone 3a)

I have a few plants to give away for the winter,
Just too many for me to take care of,
I know we have a few members that live in Wpg.
so if someone from Wpg is interested, please come get them..
I will not mail these plants out as they are just way too big,,

I was over there visiting this AM but where am I to put a mega brug or two. I think it is not at all a GOOD THING for me - as we- know-who says.

I have about 18 or so LA iris plus some oh so tender zone 6-7-8 lilium to bring in. Plus all my so. African wild flowers. So where oh where am I going to put a TREE or two?? I would like to grow Snowflake for the varigation but can I bonsai it, to keep it a small no more than 2ft. What will happen to it if I keep cutting off the top growth? No bloom but that would be OK. As well, Wilma is giving away her orphan seedlings, NOT a Snowflake, not the cuttings from you and Jeanne.

Thanks Linda but...... Maybe when I move downstairs to the main floor with a huge glassed in sunporch. Then I'll grow brugs.

Glad you both had a good camp. The joys of the island.

Yes maybe one day Ginny will get into brugs , but right now is not a good time for her,

These brugs were all started from seeds this spring, and I just can't believe how fast they grew, infact they are much bigger plants that Snowbank and the cuttings that Ginny brought back for me from the RU.
I just couldn't believe that I had over 20 plants, now what in the world can I do with that many over winter,
and I just couldn't throw out any seedling this spring, so that is how I ended up with so many plants,,
so I am keeping one of each of my seedling and my other ones from the RU and the extras have now found a new home..
I would just hate for them to be left out to freeze with the frost,
my back yard looked like a forest this summer,
and I can't wait for them to bloom next summer..
and hopefully one day Ginny will get her sunroom and I will be right there with a brug or 2 for her..
