What to do

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I have several brugs that were cuttings from last fall, some are about 2' tall some have Yd but not bloomed yet, can I dig these up and send with roots to anyone that want's them or will leaves have to be stripped off, any info would be appreciated, I will also have cuttings from brugs that have bloomed by the end of this month. how long should the cuttings be? I just do not have room in my house for all of them and I hate to see them freeze.

Digging them is alot of work - could you just cut them off near the soil line and send as cuttings? You could just trim the Y'd area back so it's still there but not really wide. I did that to some of mine that had not bloomed last year at frost time, and they took off growing this spring and are beginning to bloom or have already bloomed this summer.
Just a thought...

That sounds like the best way to do it, now can someone tell me how to keep the cuttings untill they are shipped, should they be kept in water untill I cut the legth I need, or just cut them up and place in fridge. I think I could cut some of them as they are asked for untill it gets too cold

maybe you could keep them the way they are until postage or trade arrives then cut and send on. or you can cut them and start themrooting and then send on with new roots in paper towels and saran wrap. i have never heard of cutting in the fridge thik that would kill them but i am still a novice.

if they need homes i know i am open for some. just let me know and will gladly send postage . i am still trying to fill two acres up so i dont have to cut grass. seriously. i hate to mow!!!

I have recieved several emails so when I start checking which ones I will part with I will post a notice then cut as I get requests.
