tuberous begonias

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

My sister in law has the most gorgeous huge pots of everblooming tuberous begonias. 5 different colors in each pot. Maybe 5 years old. AND I want some. Anyone know a good place to order them? What is a price to look for?

Hi There,

You should be able to take a cutting of the plants that your sister in law has and strike them yourself or wait until her flowers are almost spent and then tie a freezer bag over the flower head to catch the seed and then grow it from there. Bergonia seed may be different to Tuberous Bergonias but I have found that this is the only way to get the seed from mine. The seed is so small if you sneezed it would just blow away and you almost need a magnifying glass to see them. Goodluck!
