Verna Jeanette

Has anyone ever heard of a hoya with this cv name? I swear, I end up with some of the weirdest hoya names on my finds. Ha.
This one looks like a Krimson Princess, only with a thin layer of hair across the leaves (like the carnosa Silver Variegated has). It actually makes the leaves look like they have some kind of milky coating on them or something. Anyway, the name that came with it on the lable is
H. Verna Jeanette. I wonder who she is/was?

Hi, Marcy.

I found one website (http://www.simones-hoyas.de/Hoya%20carnosa.html) that referenced H. verna jeanette in old editions of Fraterna, the Hoyan, & something I am unfamiliar with:

Fraterna 4/4 1990 S. 15
Hoyan 8 (1) S. 6
SWC 2 (5) S. 10.

Maybe someone on this forum has copies of those articles available to post.

Thanks Ann. Looks like it has been around for awhile if referred to in a 1990 publication.
