Hi Shirley: I'm interested in the salvia. Sorry to say that my iris collection includes only very old heirloom purples and yellows. No names. I have some named day lilies though. Would you consider trading for Always Afternoon, Baby Darling, First Knight or Jason Salter? The best fans are from Always Afternoon and Baby Darling.

OK. I have to go to the post office today anyway, so I hope to get your daylilies out today. I will probably send you several fans of Always Afternoon.

Thanks for the trade.

Well, I got a little carried away. First I dug up Always afternoon and wasn't happy with the way the fan looked, also I accidently dug out an elephant ear and some cannas because they were all around the Always Afternoon. So, I decided to dig up the Baby Darling. That one was fine and easy to divide with no casualties from innocent bystanders. So what got sent are a big root (with not much fans) from Always Afternoon, 2 fans from Baby Darling, an Elephant Ear, and some heirloom cannas. You should have them by the end of the week. I don't think the elephant ear is hardy where you are. You should plant it in a pot. Mine gets HUGE, like 4-5 feet tall with giant ears with ruffled edges. Its pretty.

Talk to you later
