They keep growing and growing.
We started around July 1st with one plant approx. 8" tall with 2 leaves and have managed to sprout 3 shoots.
It currently is about 2'.
My pink bananas
She's beautiful! I have some seeds that I need to get started.
Seeds can take forever. I started some from seed last year, and did manage to get 1 plant. They did say sometimes it could take up to a year to get a plant from seed.
knotimpaired, what kind of potting soil do you have your nana in?
Linda
A mixture of topsoil, sand and peat moss. Then we topped it off with about 5" of sand. The sand keeps it moist.
We also have used a nana fertilizer.
If you would like a live plant I am going to Puerto Rico in the next few weeks and would be glad to pick one up if one is available.
Let me know.

He's talking about Puerto Rico in the Caribbean.

Well heck 2pugdogs. I am so impatient on those slow to no germinating seeds, lol.
Notimparied, how much do you think the nannas will cost?
Carlab68, I seen one of the musa lasicarpa on the tropical forum. I really like the way that one looks as the older leaves die away. I am just now getting into bananas. I am in love with those huge leaves. I hope your feeling better by the way.
WyGardener, I said it was dumb, or could I just say it was a blonde thing, or a age thing. But thanks a lot. knotimpaired will you be able to ship to us, cause I'm real interested.

Karen
Yes Karen pick me one up. Then you let me know the cost and the price for shipping and I will get you paid.
