I was outside in the backyard today taking hummie and butterfly photos. I captured a photo of this hummie feeding at one of my test tube feeders. It's feet are still facing the feeder but it's wings and upper body have already turned the opposite way to fly off. Weird!!!

Don't let this hummie drive
hi, cat!
that is the weirdest shot. I can't tell which is the top and which is the bottom of the wing. very cool! thank you.
Very nice shots, and nice feeders too. Mind if I ask what kind of camera you're using?

I use an old dinosaur of a camera. It's a Sony Mavica FD91 that has a 14x zoom lens. It's a little heavy to lug around but I do love the ease of using diskettes and not having to use special software, hook-ups and such. I have several extra re-chargeable batteries for it too.
I purchased a macro lens and a 2x telephoto converter lens earlier this year and have been using both - but find the 2x photos come out somewhat dark and grainy looking when I'm photographing hummies using a high shutter speed (like anything over 1/1500). They literally must be in full sunlight for the photos to come out clear.
I think it still does a very good job and carry it everywhere I go.
