I overwintered Isabella & a couple others in the house & put them out this spring. Isabella is blooming for me again this year. The others don't show any size of blooming, but here is a pic of her bloom. She has more buds on her too.
Isabella is blooming for me.
She is a nice grower, isn't she. Good bloomer too.
Before it opens, it looks like it is going to be yellow & then when it opens it's a pink. Amazing. I wish I lived in a warmer climate where I could have these grow year around. Don't think that I'm going to overwinter them this winter. Will try making cuttings from them & start anew. One of them is Kyle's Giant White, but it didn't bloom last year & doesn't look like it will this year either. I don't remember what the other 2 are. But, I'll take cuttings & mark them so I don't loose their IDs & try again.

This was such an unusual year that I'm not judging anything this year. I just hope that next year will not be so hot for me and my brugs. A frequent rain would be nice too.
Last year I had Isabella in the front of the house & she got lots of sun, but she didn't like it this year, so the middle of July, I moved her to where she only got early morning sun & she started doing better. I didn't have quite as much trouble with the spider mites after I moved her to more shade either.
I'm with you on the rain!! We sure could use some here. I've been watering all day to day. Just keep moving the hose around.
This is my Isabellas first year. She is in full sun and seems to love it. She has flushed 4 times and is in full bloom now. I think she and Dr Seuss are my favorites. But .........then, I love Frosty, Kyle's, Jean Pasco,Rosemond, Everlasting, Dreamsicle, creamsicle etc....etc...........dang....I love them all :)))

Hi Margo,
Which ones are the most fragrant. I haven't noticed that Isabella is that fragrant. My Isabella bloomed the first year for me too. This is the second year that I had her. She is just starting to bloom, but you do have a longer growing season then I do here.
