Katrina Burns has been a client and favorite of mine for almost six years.....she was a very special dog.....she belonged to a lady named Barbara that i never had the pleasure of meeting......for she is in a nursing home......A man named Patrick Burns, who is an angel on earth, took her in and called her his own......Katrina died two days ago, on the 31st day of August.....I would like to have a memorial for her here on DG....She really is my favorite to groom, and she will be sorely missed by myself and her family.......she was approx. 14-15 years old......since her mom is not well, we really dont know exactly how old she was.........She never complained about her grooming..as her two sisters do.........she looked forward to the attention she got......in all of the years that Patrick had her, she never once kissed any of us.......but she kisses Barbara......she knows who her mommy is.......Patrick would take her over to the home at least weekly to visit Barbara.......Patrick is also in poor health, and lives with his Mother-in-law.......His wife passed many years ago......but he and Gertrude have a wonderful relationship.....what a saint to take care of others while he is so hard off......He has health problems of his own....but he keeps on pushing on to get his dogs taken care of.......I am afraid Barbara will take a turn for the worse now that her freind is gone.......Thank you for the opportunity to let everyone know how special Katrina was......this picture is the last time i groomed her......about three weeks ago....
