White-Lined Sphinx Moth

Hello, I finally met a moth from my area that is impressive. I grew up in Indonesia and have seen tons of beautiful moths but since moving to Vancouver 10 years ago I have never seen any moths that looked like anything other than brown or white splotches. Finally tonight one flew into my kitchen that had some nice markings. Just in time to as I just bought a new digi cam. So I got out my Canon S2 IS and tried to take some good pictures. The camera is very new to me (less than a week) so I didnt get the greatest photos but here it is. I read in another thread that its called a White-Lined Sphinx Moth. So here she/he is. =)

P.S. She/He was released after her/his photo op and is back outside in the yard where she/he belongs.

Nice pictures, you've obviously got adjusted to your new camera. I'm not that far from you and I agree with the moth comment. Though we be get some nice butterflies, and this white-green moth I've been trying to capture on my camera, but either I don't have my camera or he/she is not there. He/she is not showy in a markings way, but I love the color. Hopefully one day.
