I wouldn't mind trying a couple. I have Blackie and Margherita Sweet Potato Vine, EE, Double Pink Confederate Rose Hibiscus-small plant grown from seed this year--other stuff. LMK!! Or postage. I have quite a list of trades to do over the next month or two so may be a little while till I could mail my end. (laid off in July, still no new job, one income, extreme gas prices, etc) But I have no gingers at all yet and these look very interesting. This is a new location we live in now so not sure where any frost free locations might be yet so would keep mine inside over winter probably.

Hi Georgiagarden, I want to first comment on how lovely your gardens are! Love the abor sign..does it say happy garden? I have lots of things to offer if you still have any ginger rhizomes left. LMK =)
I guess we cross-posted, but that's ok. Just let me know if you have any left when you get everyone else taken care of ;).

georgiagarden, the ginger is really nice....love the pix.
servants heart, I'm from Columbia and my kids live in Greenville so I know a little about the climate. I'd suggest that when you plant your gingers, try them on the south or south east side of your garden so they'll be more protected in the winter. You might want to wait till Spring to plant so it can really get established next year. Also, watch out for that full summer sun.....the ginger does a little better there if you filter or dapple the sunlight (dont' we all!? LOL) Good luck.
Barbara
BDunn--thanks for the tips. I actually potted both my Gingers in a large pot with some ground cover type sedum and have in an area of my garden that gets dappled sunlight. Was planning to bring the entire pot in once temps start to be around 50's!! Good idea?? Thanks!! Bonnie
