Are you sure you live in zone 5a???? Your gardens are stunning... how sad to be thinking about cutting back already. We have another 2 months before thinking of that.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

We need more pics!!! I still have no clue how you keep all your gardens looking so beautiful, take care of all your animals.......dogs, horses, ducks, parrot, fancy chickens (have a fancy chicken business and show them and always win grand prize in all categories), peacocks and even your C-MENT chicken, not to mention speed boating and also work full time +, driving a huge semi (is that what you call them?) and be just a waif of a girl.

And everything is flourishing except a few award winning dead brugs!!! LOL

I am constantly amazed by you, pretty lady!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

That list about crestedchik tired me out Kell, think I need a nap.

Great inspiring pics!

Osage City, KS(Zone 5b)

Looks absolutely WONDERFUL.......

Leesburg, VA(Zone 7a)

My lord, you must have a greenhouse larger than my real house!!!!

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

crestedchic.......I saw a bougie tree at a local garden center.....it was $300.00!!!!!!!!!! Holy guacamole........even if it would have been half price (it was in the half price g-house) it would have been plenty enough cash. I didn't ask if it was half off.......I might have been tempted! Of course, I can go back and ask, since I am going to be in the neighborhood next Tuesday! You have some really nice stuff there, wish I had a patio/deck or something of the sort so I could decorate. As it is, I just have pots strewn all over-by the end of the sidewalk, by the kitchen door, on the piddly little cement slab outside the bedroom, and in my "plant area" in the yard where I put blocks in a large circle and put a huge rock in there as a focal point (before I had so many plants). Now the rock is just a nice touch. It is a biggie....spouse had to get it out of the field with the loader tractor, and it was all the tractor wanted to lift it!!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Wow, CC. Beautiful plants.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Awesome!!! Now I want closeups so that I can pick which plants I want....lol!!

Is that variegated ginger I see?
Your nanas, bougain tree, and upright ears are so beautiful.
You sure have a beautiful yard...almost don't believe it's less than 3 hours from me!
Congrats on your hard work. :)

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Well CC they are all looking lovely... ... I've got another month after you... and it's real hard to imaging cutting it back quite yet... I remember the winter shot you posted last year.. real cold looking ... but summers there you've made tropical... Good Work...
OH the crested comes from chickens... let me know when there is a chicken show to go and see... I doubt I'd be allowed to have some here... but I'd love to see them... I used to have a slew of silkies.. and some game chickens...although I did have to promise the old man that gave me the game hens that I'd never fight any I got aganst him... HA HA HA .. no problem... but they were wonderful pets... and the black widdow spider problem I had before compleatly vanished after getting my chickens... there wasn't anything alive from five feet tall to the ground.. and their sole mission in hte world was to eradicate any insect living in that zone... and they worked tirelessly at it form dawn to dusk.. when they would fly up into my large tree in the front yard... the city does have it's draw backs... how about posting an oT picture of one of them... do you have any Yocahamas... Again Great garden ... Gordon

Karyn, Everything looks absolutely beautiful! Such a fun and comfortable setting you have acomplished with your garden.
I'm sure it will pay off having the photos to look back at during the winter time. Seems likes it's been a long summer but it's almost over. Rat's!!!!
Love that Blood leaf Naner!!!
