Babelfish Web-based Translation

For folks who might enjoy getting additional Hoya information from non-English speaking websites, Altavista's Babelfish translator is a useful tool. It can be found at: http://babelfish.altavista.com/

Some of the words cannot be translated, but there is enough there to get the gist of the information offered

Using Babelfish the text was translated from German:
Die Blütezeit liegt etwa von August bis November. In Australien ist dann Frühling. Das Aussehen der Blüten ist bei allen Australisformen ähnlich. Alle Formen blühen problemlos in großen, lockeren Dolden mit 20 bis 40 Einzelblüten. Die Blüten sind weiß, mit einem Hauch von Rot unter der Nebenkrone.

To English:
The bloom time lies approximately from August to November. In Australia is then spring. The appearance of the blooms is similar with all Australisformen. All forms flower problem-free in large, loose dolden with 20 to 40 single flowers. The blooms are white, with a breath of red under the Nebenkrone.

While not every single word is translated, and sometimes the nouns, verbs, etc. do not follow the same placement as English language, it allows us access to additional information.

The site is very user friendly. You can either cut and paste text or web addresses. The only thing you will have to make a guess at is which language is being translated. Sometimes it might take a couple of tries if you have no idea what the language you are looking at is.
