I was just out in the yard doing a few things like cleaning the fountainhead in the pond, and pulling weeds, and decided it would be a good time to take some new pictures. Hope you don't get bored!!!
#1-Glenda's frosty pink brug!!! It has done so well this year!

Hope this picture is clear enough. Looking at the size of this humongous elephant ear bulb, are all the little things on the sides of the bulb NEW bulblets?? And what do I do with them?? I am figuring just pull them off at some point and repot, or do I need to take these out of dirt and let them go dormant for the winter??
I didn't think my two gerberas were doing very well, but all of a sudden they are starting to shoot out flowers again. I planted them in their pots in the dirt, as the nursery lady said they don't like to have their roots disturbed. So I just scored the thin pots and planted them. I have had quite a few blooms.

This was my first attempt at a concrete leaf this year. Unfortunately, it is very crumbly, because I used old cement, and I now know that is a NO-NO!!!! Too bad, because it turned out well, but I can chip off the edges very easy so it will need to be garbaged.

Okay, that's all folks. Thanks for looking!!!
Thanks for showing. That was really fun, a good tour with some great plants. What's this about using old cement? I have a pail of concrete mix that I was thinking to use for stepping stones. How old is old?
Echoes, do you have concrete mix, or just plain portland??? My bag of portland has turned into little lumps of hard concrete. You can still break them up with your fingers, but from all I have read, it just won't set up properly. And that sure was the case for me. I did that big elephant ear, plus a few smaller leaves, and on all of them, you can just break chunks off. So I got a new bag of portland. I don't know if the same will be true for concrete mix, but I guess if you look and it seems to be chunky, then I'm not sure if it will work.

Thanks Glenda. Just poured the bag in a pail the other day. A few lumps, but not bad. Will have to check the label and see what I have.
Glenda, great photos of all your plants. I have seen so many cleome around, but didn't know what they were, now I do. That purple datura is so huge! I can't get mine to do more than a bud or two.
Great pictures Glenda. That datura is gong to be beautiful once it starts blooming. Love the gunnera. Your EE plant is so big. You should see mine...I think it's about 2" tall. LOL I think I'll put it in the solarium and see if it will keep growing all winter. I'm disappointed with the passiflora. It isn't like any of the other ones I have. It almost seems like a grape plant. I wonder if any of them will ever bloom.

Great selection of plants...looks like I will have another year before I get Brug flowers. Mine are still single sprouts only 2 feet tall. From your pics, it will be worth the wait. Please take a pic of the Datura when it opens...the plant looks wonderful now...I can only imagine what it will be like when covered in blooms.
Looks like you have a wonderful display happening there Glenda. Thanks for sharing. --Ginny
Thanks for your kind words everyone. I don't post often, but when I do, I really get carried away with the pictures, don't I????
Well, off to do stuff outside. We have a commercial chipper and shredder coming in today, so the more we can get taken away, the better!!!
Glenda
Why did I move from the island??? Your pix quite spectacular. Obviously lots of TLC while you were away.
Loved your cement leaves - and everything else. Just ONE teeny tiny thing. Will you and the other bruggies kindly STOP posting brug pix. I'm drawn more and more to them --No room for winter storage thpugh.
Visited Wilmas brug jungle the other day. You can hardly walk around her patio because of such lush growth, Gives you the same feeling as Cheryl & Lindas greenhouse.
Lovely pix. Glad the deer are staying away.
Hope you have no bears around (thinking of plum tree).

H Hau! Brugs and dats both get seed pods, but they are quite a bit different. I have never had any pods on my brugs at all, but last year I had many, many pods on my white dat. Unfortunately, none of them germinated this spring. Are you wanting brug or dat seeds???? IF I have any from my dat, you can certainly have some! My first dat bloom is just in the process of opening so I will post a pic soon!!
Glenda
I was wanting Brugs seed. I am having so much fun with daturas I thought I would play with Brugs. I have 3 different dats that I collect the seed from. White, single purple and double purple.
